Depends what kind of ride you are after and what kind of riding you want to do, I like to run mine higher because I've found that the ride (anytime) is not significantly worse than lower pressures and I'm always ready to ride a twisty road which is usually my preference. That's the beauty of having the shock pump, with its built in pressure gauge and ability to fine tune in 1 lb. increments if you have it with you it only takes a minute to stop and adjust for conditions.

Guys, can anyone tell me how the distance from the center of the top hole to the center of the bottom hole when, not mounted on the motorcycle.

I mean these Profile® Low Touring Shocks /54635-09/.

I can not find a drawing with dimensions in internet. I have to ask here, because the nearest HD dealer is 400 miles from me.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty damn sure it's 12" The full length Electra-glide/Road King shocks are 12 3/4 to 13 depending on who's measuring.Unless you're going for more cornering clearance or less money get the "Profile" or Street-Glide shocks. They look better, can handle more pressure and are probably sprung a little stiffer to make up for less travel. Now if you don't care about looks and you just want to try air shocks you can usually find a set of used Electra Glide shocks for 80$ or less on Ebay.

First I thought they were 12.5", I do measure it before installation and it is 12" eye to eye.

Many thanks for answers. Probably in the spring I will be with these shocks and will share experiences with the roads of south-eastern Europe

Burly Brand look very well, but are very unfriendly to my body
