bars are on and all cables hooked up. everything went pretty smooth. i did not have to remove my exhaust but i did loosen the top muffler clamp and rotate it down to get at one allen bolt on the trans side cover. i used a mighty vac pump to bleed the brakes and test rode it today. perfecto!
Looks good. 14" bars? I thought they would of looked alot taller. I was thinking of 12" bars. They look good.
thanks! the stock risers were about 8" and i used 2" risers with 14" bars. i like the idea of having them below shoulder height so they are 50 state legal, WAY more comfortable and now i can see with both mirrors. before my back was crooked and now it's straight. the whole process was very simple and i think the average joe could easily pull this off. i am no motorcycle mechanic but i have many years wrenching on bikes and cars, plus i have a pretty awesome set of tools.
i did a mock up of my 13in carlini gangsters yesterday. i am also going with the black pearl cables from magnum. cant wait to get them on. pics at least show how much higher than the drag bars they are
carlini's are a nice bar and i almost went with those, but the pull back on the klock werks bars was only 5 inches and was more comfotable for my wrists.
