Fat Bob or Wide Glide???
So i've ben riding a Street Glide for the past year but my divorce is forcing me to sell or trade it in. Can't afford the payment.
But i think i can afford either a Fat Bob or a Wide Glide. So i'm looking for some feedback on the two.
Fat bob: I kind of like the fat front end, but I hate the rear fender. I want a round rear fender and i've looked a bit on the net but can't some aftermarket fenders i like.
Wide Glide: I like the over all look, but not sure about the rake on the front end.
Over all i'm going for a chopper look. I have yet to ride them.
Any input on these two bikes would be appreciated.
Thanks!

08 Fat Bob
I have an 08 Fat Bob and I have to say this is one of the best handling and comfortable bikes I have personally ridden. The only mods I have done are Rush pipes and a K&N air cleaner. As far as the speed....super quick. My son has a GSXR and was shocked that "he didn't blow me out of the water like the other cruisers" lol.
Its a 100% joy to ride... I wouldn't own any other.

I wanted a new Wide Glide and ended up getting a Street Bob, since they (encs) couldn't get me a Wide Glide or at least project when they could get one here.
I feel for you though, my next bike will most likely be a Street Glide. Just going to take me a little more time to afford a second bike. Of course, I will need to ride one first, which isn't an option buying through the BX here.

I didn't care for the rear fender on the Fat Bob either at first. But after seeing one with a round fender I realized how much it contributes to the overall length of the bike. The short rake makes it look even shorter with a rounded rear fender.
That said, the Fat Bob is more adept in the twisties and the Wide Glide has the chopper look.
For me ride quality was more important than apperance so I went with the Fat Bob in all it's ugly glory........she may be ugly,
But she sure can cook.

If your going for the chopper look the obvious choice is the WG and FB will handle better but coming form someone who has the WG they ride just fine. I was worried about the front tire following cracks myself when I baught it and have had no issues with that. Ultimately go sit on both and see which one you like the fell of better. If you can ride both even better.
