Default FXDX on the chopping block, building the FXR

Well after much reading, searching and debating, I've decided to build the FXR and send the FXDX down the road. I just can't get away from the FXR idea, and until I build it I don't think I will get it out of my head.
Wish me luck.

FXR
It has some nice older goodies on it that will be a nice platform to build from. 100 inch Revtech Mikuni carb, Dual 4 piston front brakes, stainless lines, Ceriani forks. Its been down, but not too hard. Been sitting a few years.

FXDX
Other than a few minor upgrades, and paint pretty much stock. Good bike, lots of fun to ride.

It is a great bike, but I think I can make the FXR more of what I want. A fast bike that handels well. Lower investment cost too.
