Wasnt going to ask I figured I get a BULB I said BULB comment again, with his vague questions and answers. Doesnt say I have an equalizer anywhere, until he wants to get rude and pissy. Then wants to remind every one BULB and still not tell us what bulb he needs, even tho you asked once..
Just trying to save a guy a head ache later, from past experiences..

Yep - I agree. one can go either route using leds for turn signals (assuming you have a load eq or a newer bike that doesn't need one). Both the bullet style and the flat FL style can use the Radiant, Custom Dynamics led inserts (the ones with the 1156/1157 pigtails) or the led bulb inserts like the one from Kuryakyn. The main difference is cost and amount of leds. The bulb style is smaller with less leds, but is cheaper
Where it changes is the brake light bulbs. I know my old FXDX uses a different bulb (kind of like the 1157) and my RK uses a completely different bulb - newer style w/o the metal round bottom. I just replaced the whole unit with a much brighter LED brake light. I didn't find on the FXDX the LED bulb version was very bright.
The dog eye style turn signal inserts from Radiant or Custom Dynamics that come with the outer Led ring of amber leds with the center being two value red leds allow you to not use a Brake-running light-turn signal converter. The outer ring runs off the turn signals and the center is spliced into the brake/tail light wiring with the provided extra wires. I found this was a good solution since it really changes color/brightness between turning signals, tail and brake. Some units with the BRT converter don't have much contrast between the brake/tail lights.
