The old turn signal wires are the same color as the new ones that I currently am using.

I will post pictures up shortly. This could very well come down to my wiring, which I am a novice at. Hopefully I can get this worked out. Thanks for the responses so far.
Those pins can be a real PITA if you are not experienced, but if you can post good pics we can see if that is the issue.

The pictures are not all that great. I can't take pictures of the pins since they are in the connector and I'm not the best at removing them. The white connector is the left side, which currently stays at constant on and the black connector is the right side, which blinks normally but does not produce a running light. Let me know if any other pics would be helpful. Thanks again.

Really need to see the pin termination, I think that is where the problem is. You really need to take them apart.
I can't find a wiring diagram for the 12's and the colors are different than previous years for the actual turns, running and ground appear to be the same.

8541hog. your right about cutting the wires. i thought he said he had to cut them to install it. i would then just disconnect at the connector and meter it there. if all is good there it gives you a starter point to go by. you can also ohm out the wires from the connector to the bulb housing. make sure the pins are crimped good.

im pretty sure the the outside blue wire on both connectors are running lights, the center is your blinker and the black is obviously your ground.

I just had to cut the old wires to remove the housing from the handlebars. BTW pontiac, nice bike. Love the color!

sounds like bad crimps if you have all your colors right as you say, them pins are hard to crimp without the correct tools. imho

Being that I'm a novice at wiring, I'll explain how I crimped and maybe the more experienced can tell me if I'm right or wrong. I stripped a small section of wire at the end, placed it into the pin and used needle nose pliers to fold over each side of the pin over the wire. I made the connections very tight and there was no play with the wire inside the pin, everything seemed quite secure. Is that correct or is there a different method that could have avoided my issue?

Sounds right, but it is all about where the crimp is on the wire and how far into the pins you went. Unless your pins are different, you should have bare conductor under the first crimp and the second crimp should be on the insulated conductor.

I know that there was not insulation on the second crimp. There was bare wire in both crimps. Will that cause an electrical issue?
