Default Blown Ricor rear Shock

So I get home from a little ride yesterday and while I'm looking over the bike I notice oil on the back section of my swing arm. Upon further investigation, I see that oil is leaking from my shock. These shocks are not very old (bought them in the spring) so I guess I'll be giving Brian at Ricor a call to see what's up. Anybody else had any issues like this?

That sucks!! I know those aren't cheap. I hope they have a good warranty.

Sorry, no issues to speak of, but then again I run Ohlins. : )

Hope they get you back on track. Did you notice any handling differences?

Not good. I'm sure he will take care of it.
I believe they are the first Riccor rear shocks for twins,
maybe some more attention in the seal department.
I kept my stock shocks if and when I get trouble.
Most these expensive shocks are rebuildable.
Brian probibly will ship you a new one in record time as he is making a name for them.
Everything isn't perfect but I'm sure you have a great warranty.

Default Yikes!

That is not good.

Send me an e-mail to brian@ricorshocks.com with your info and I'll send you a call tag or send UPS to your house to pick them up.

Sorry for the inconvenience, we will get them back to you asap.

Brian

Looks like both of my Ricors are drippin'. . . . But I'm not trippin'. I'll shoot Brian an email and we'll get it sorted out. I really like what these shocks have done for my ride and I'm confident Ricor will stand behind them.

Must be a fluke! (I hope!) I've got over 10k on mine and they still work as good as day one... Knocking on anything that looks like wood.

Yep! Brian actually contacted me shortly after I made my original post. He followed up by sending me a return label and pre-paid shipping. I've sent the shocks back for evaluation/repair. I'm sure you'll have a similar experience.

How do you guys like the way the Ricor shocks ride besides the leaking issue. I would rather deal with a forum vendor that takes care of his customers when or if there is an issue.
