I am getting ready to upgrade my rear shocks on my 05 wideglide.
The original HD stock shocks at about 12.5 inches and have been on there now for 6 years.
My question is, do they sag over a period of time to make the bike feel lower.
I want to upgrade to 13 inch but don't know if that extra 1/2 inch will turn out to be way more than that.

 

Your stock shock is 12.6 inches, adding the extra 0.4 will be barely noticeable. after 6 years shocks should still be ok unless you were 2 up all the time, Also any shock upgrade is better than the stock harley ones.

 

Go with Progressive Shocks, I have the 540's had the 512's( replaced after 20,000 miles). They have all sizes. I like mine 1/2 in lower than stock, no bttom out and wife and I ride two-up all the time.
