I know this is a very old thread but its what Im looking for. With the rethreading kit, does it just clean up the threads and keep the same size hole without making it bigger?

I used this

TIME-SERT kit

for stripped threading for a head bolt. Worked great and zero problems since.

yes, that is exactly what it does, just cleans the threads....unlike a tap that cuts new threads....
