No......not true......HD has patented & copyrighted software that is protected and I am certain they won't give it up anytime soon. Now that aftermarket company may have figured a way to reprogram the HD Delphi ECM and that might be what they are selling. But a SERT is only $357 on-line anyway. So what is the big deal? Why would you risk screwing up the ECM for a couple bucks? Plus the SERT is a proven tool and can be re-programmed as much as you want. It costs less than a windows xp pro disk.

RE: after market sert type tuners?
From my limited experiance with this I would say your FI tuner is the last place you want to cheap out.I got a DFO for about half the price of a SERT but it can't tune the bottom end, about half the rev range on a Harley, and my bike runs like crap.I just got a SERT from the local HD dealer, cost twice as much PLUS the cost of the DFO It will end up costing more just to get my bike running right than I spent on my intake and exhaust.Do yourself a favor get a SERT or PC3 dont waste your time and money on anything else.
