The stock shocks on my '07 FXD are 12.5" between eye centers. I installed the HD lowering shocks that are 11.5"; they lowered the back about 1" at the axle. If your stockers are 12.5", you'll see about about 1.5 inch drop at the axle with the Progressive 11" shocks. I also installed the Progressive drop in kit on the front to lower it about 1 ".

They'll be fine except they are more prone to bottom out because of less suspension travel. Watch for potholes and speed bumps. Get your butt up off the seat when the going gets unfriendly. I've had them both lengths and now I've settled on 12" Progressives as best for me but I've put a lot of miles on the 11" shocks and they are fine most of the time.

I have some experience with those 11 inch shocks as well. They really slam a Dyna and look cool as hell but it will also ride like hell.I had the "heavy duty" version and while it could be adjusted to the point where it didn't "bottom out" they were so stiff they might as well have, it made no difference.I went with the heavy duty because there were several instances of the standard version blowing seals and leaking oil all over the place.I'm now rolling with 12" FLHX shocks the difference is night and day.

I have the 11" standards and so far so good. I bumped them up to the fourth notch today and its a lot smoother. On the third notch and below was decent except for big bumps. I wouldn't bottom out but was just really rough. I'm 220lbs and I haven't bottomed out yet. I also lowered the front with progressive drop ins. I don't think you have to worry as much about the belt guard as much as the passenger peg mount. Looks like you might ride 2 up, so I would start out at the 5th preload and work your way down. Solo I wouldn't worry about a thing. The heavy duty's are crazy stiff!

Guess I would also be concerned about tire rub inside the rear fender taking out some wiring attached to the uderside, the fender clearance to belt guard would also be a concern.
