Default (Tech) Cheap fix for autozone green and black oil drain pan broken cap

I know some of you guys must have this oil drain pan from autozone. Well after buying my third one in a couple of months because the damn cap on it is cheap and keeps breaking I started looking for an alternative cap.

After searching ace for pvc caps and finding nothing I realized that the top of a powerade bottle is about the same diameter.

So i bought a powerade and bam! Cap resolution. The powerade bottle cap is much stronger and has been leak free.

I broke my cap too. I used a cap from an antifreeze bottle and fixed it right up.

The original cap was weaker than Oprah's knees after finding a grand opening of a Krispy Kreme.

On that same vein, I save old rattle can nozzles, WD40, carb cleaner nozzles, etc. in a small container in a cabinet in the shop. Many of them are interchangeable and breaking or clogging one of them no longer relegates the spray can to the trash.

On my brand, when my cover broke, I stuck a cork in it. Fits perfect. My wife saves her wine corks, and they are just the right diameter.

Looks like I drink a power aide today and recycle the cap.

Thanks for the tip. Autozone should run special... Buy oil drain pan, get a free powerade.
