I so agree, I was looking at getting a road king next, but I think I am going to buy used 06 or later dynas and make them into a FLD tourers and give one to my dad. I mean I could buy 2 used dyna's for the price of one Road King

Mr schmittles..

how long have you had the exhaust wrap on your pipe. I would like to do the same thing. ( I have same pipe) I am worried about damaging the pipe though due to the many issues people have with wrapped pipes.
so any issues is the pipe still real hot guess just some general info would be great

Yes!! Cycle visions has that road glide conversion that uses an actual road glide faring and brackets for full size dresser bags. With a FL front and some other suspension upgrades you have a road glide for less then half the price of the real thing and has the heart of a dyna. Then had the SOA bike...lol! Ones with apes, bobber. The list can go on for days.

I have had the pipes wrapped since july. I recently took the pipes off and repainted the heat wrap with high temp header paint. The wrap quickly fades to grey. I will warn you though, the wrap makes the pipes a lot thicker making it impossible to take the mid control mounts off without removing the exhaust.

Very nice ... I like the current and previous versions ... not bad before that, too ...

- headlight
- exhaust
- fork gators
- black-out (rear struts, short sissy bar, fork legs, triple trees, etc.)

I kind of like the (blacked out) stock apes better ... but, the Fat Bob bar setup does it justice, as well ...

How do you like the current shocks as compared to the Touring shocks you were using before ...? Which ones are they ...?

Good work ....
