Yep, you guys get volts and amps comfused. And both have different purposes.

 

So...buy a new battery for the FOB and a new battery for the bike and be done with it. Really, it's not rocket science...

 

Agree with SBRob.The battery in the fob can be had cheap by borrowing it from someone's computer if you can't afford the $3 or so cost.

 

how about starter relay???

 

man, If I ever have trouble with my superglide I hope its something simple like a snapped crank or hole in a piston. This battery buisiness is way too complex. LOL.

 

So incase the battery doesn't fix it. The bike spent four months on a boat. Very salty, and very wet air. Check for corrosion in the starting electronics. I really hope its the battery but if not salt will definately be your culprit. I spent 21 years in the military shipping on a boat always means cleaning something
