Default What kinda filter Stage I? Is this washable?

Just bought a 2006 Low Rider from a car dealership. Previous owner unknown. It has 10900 miles on it and in good shape. Other then needing a new rear tire everything else is in fine working order as far as I can tell.

I don't know if a stage I has been done on it or really how to tell. It has screaming eagle slip-on installed. I pulled the air filter and plugs to check them. The air filter doesn't look like the one in the service manual. Here's a picture of it.

Whatcha think? Also is this a washable air filter? Thanks again for all the help.

What kinda filter Stage I? Is this washable?-air-filter-3-.jpg

Continued to search and found that it is a stage I air filter and washable. Once I put my reading glasses on I found "29442-990 653531 Dry type Element do not oil" on the top of the filter plate.

If it has had the stage 1 download the rev limiter will kick in @ 6200 rpm instead of the stock setting of 5500 rpm. However there may have been a tuner added, wouldn't hurt to check, look under the seat.

It appears to be from pic, a SE high flow air filter... You can get about 6 washes out of it. I have one. Just Google search PN on filter.

Rubber side down.

Looks like the SE Air Filter to me agree with the above can get 5-6 washes from it .. After that I would replace it with a K&N which is a Lifetime Filter that needs oiling after cleaning.. Think your model would be a K&N # 0800 but double check to be sure ...

One of the answers above was "It appears to be from pic, a SE high flow air filter... You can get about 6 washes out of it."
What do you wash it with and do you apply oil if it is a SE air filter?
Thanks,

Thanks,
Do NOT add oil if it is a SE HIGH FLOW FILTER...

You can wash it with a degreaser/soap and water. AIR DRY.

Plug it in and ride.

Google the PN to be sure... It does appear to be what I think it is.

Also google instructions to clean air filter. Pretty easy to clean.

My'03 LR came with that same SE1 filter. Replacement filters are available on ebay in the $25 range. I'm not a fan of 'oiled' filters although most think they are the best thing since sliced-bacon.

It's a SE filter, hard to tell on my mobile but it looks like someone has all ready sprayed k&n oil on it. (Red tint) Maybe some of the SE's are red but mine and others I've seen are white.

From H-D site:

MAINTENANCE
Air Cleaner Element Maintenance
NOTES
This is a dry air filter. Do not apply oil to the filter element.
When servicing the air cleaner, apply Loctite 243 (blue) to
threads of all fasteners.

1. See Figure 1. Remove air cleaner cover (B) and inspect
the filter element (7) every 5000 mi (8000 km), or more
often under dusty conditions.

2. Clean filter element as follows:
a. Remove and wash element by immersing it, on edge,
in a shallow pan containing enough Air
Cleaner/Degreaser to cover no more than 3/4 the
depth of the filter pleats. Do not let dirty solution get
inside the element. Carefully "roll" the element in the
solution around its perimeter until the entire outer
surface of the filter pleats has been soaked.
b. Remove filter element from cleaner/degreaser and
allow five minutes for the cleaner to dissolve the dirt.
c. From the inside out, rinse the element with cold water.
Shake off excess water, and allow the element to air
dry. Do not dry with compressed air.

3. Install air cleaner element and cover.
