Default Front brake sounds like a locust when I apply it.

My 2011 WideGlide front brake sounds like a locust when I apply the brake. It does this from 70mph down to about 10mph. At the lower speeds and sitting still it doesn't make this sound. Anyone hear this from their Dyna before?

Yes!

People keep telling me I am crazy. After a while I began to believe them.

Looks like we have some good ears. But since April or so I have just figured it was no biggie since nobody else could hear it.

my 09 lowrider makes a mechanical noise, it has been discussed here alot so it's no biggie and common. somebody said its the holes in the rotor.

i have a 09 fxdc, and my front wheel does the same thing.

i had the spoked rims swapped with the std cast rims from a fxd prior to picking up the bike and thought that may have had something to do with the noise.

after 9000 miles, it still makes the noise, and i have grown to like it for some reason.

my brakes both work, and are wearing fine.

Mine makes a little noise just before I stop. I figure its the brake pads seeing as they can't use asbestos anymore. Your pads might have a glaze on them. Try roughing them up a little with some sandpaper and a scotch pad on the rotor, see if that stops it for a while.

Ayep, mine does the same. Or at least it used too, I had forgotten all about it until I read your post. I either got so used to it that I don't hear it anymore, or it worked itself out after my 1k service.

Take it back to the Dealer. Make them fix it. I assume you have a Warranty.
