WOW bad enough to be stationed in Spain. I remember seeing super tough guy mopeds groups there. Made me laugh.

It was discussed a long time back that putting any 180 other than the Screamin eagle on our Dyna was basically not safe...the other 180s where made for a wider wheel and the Screamin Eagle one was made specifically for our 17".

May want to read up on it and see if you think it's worth just putting a stock tire back on your stock wheel and getting the correct wheel to run the 180?

Mascman, I have the Pirelli Night Dragon 180 that many on here are running and it fits the stock wheel just fine.

I hate to change it back to the stock size because it handles so good.

I just did a search and the consensus is that it's not any wider than the stocker even though it's a 180, so must be why it fits so well.

I have the Metzler 170 and it is not much wider than the original Dunlop but handles soo much better...just thinking that your bike will still handle better with anything but the stock Dunlop.

You are in Rota? Yeah, that must be horrible. Maybe someone who is deployed to Afghanistan can loan you a wheel for the year they are gone.

it will be interesting how people react when we all have to finally get our bikes smogged and DB level tested in the USA. I kept all my stock parts to put back on in case that ever happens. Good luck with your inspection. Id love to see Spain . I hear it is pretty neat there.

Have you tried contacting the inspection station(s) and asking them some questions regarding the tire size?

Bikes in Germany cannot be louder then 95db. That is why I kept my stoke mufflers and can switch them out for inspections. This goes for both local bikes and bikes owned by military. I know two people that decided not to ride because it would cost too much to get them to pass inspection.
