Default what should i go with? pro 440 or burley slammer?

Most of ridin is two up,total wieght is about 420 lbs most of the time. I was looking at the 440 HD shocks by progressive. Should i do burley slammer kit or the 11 1/2 in 440s? I want that low look.

If most riding is 2 up I would not go burley slammer @ 420lbs. I just got progressive 11" shocks on my WG and it fairly low another 1/2" and I think 2 up would be trouble @ 300lbs. I would probably leave it stock in all honesty @ 420lbs most of the time your going to be much more comfortable. 11-1/2" are not going to be much difference if you have a newer bike they are 12" from the factory. You should state what bike you have and it will help on giving you a better answer to your questions. Good Luck

It is an 01wideglide factory shocks are 12 5/8 in. I am leanig towarrd the progressive 11 1/2 in heavy duty. I like how low the burleys r but dont think they can take the weight.

Might not be a bad idea to call progressive and tell them your situation they should be able to give a great answer to which ones would be the way to go.

I have the progressive 412 hd 11.5" shocks and at the time our combined weight was 450 and we never bottomed out.

Now were at a combined weight of 395 and ive had to adjust the shocks for a softer ride.

You will be happy with the progressives...

Only thing is you have a completely different bike unless your not speaking about the bob in you sig pic. 11.5 is only .5 difference on the bob, hes dropping over one inch compared to stock on his bike. Which makes things a bit more worry some. Check out all you measurements and see what kind of clearance you think you'll have. You might be just fine but better safe than sorry.

better choice between the two. A 1" shorter shock will lower the bike about 1.5" which is very significant. One thing though, for around the price of the 440's you can have works performance, Ohlins or Ricor. The ride difference between works Ricor and Ohlin vs a 440 is about 1000% better.

ALso, on the 05 an older wideglide, a shock shorter than 11.5" will cause the belt guard to hit the fender(progressive provides instructions to cut the fender for it's 11" shocks for the wideglide models).

1999 Wide Glide,
I put 12.5 Progressive 440's on it and I like it a lot.
I do have the one inch drop on the bottom mount but the ride is still great.
Riding 2 up is about 450 LBS....i'm a lard ***
