2011 Dyna Wide Glide Exhaust
Hello all, new member and recent purchaser of a 2011 Wide Glide. I dont actually pick the bike up for a while from the dealer, but I know already that the stock exhaust has to go.
I was wondering for those who have already modified thier exhaust, what are your opinions on what is best out there?
I do not like the 2-n-1 look, I would prefer to go with two separate pipes, but its not a deal breaker if I dont. I like the looks of the Vance and Hines ShortShots, but from what I am reading they are incredibley loud.
I want the unmistakable sound a rumble of a Harley, but I dont want to be deafened by my own pipes and have an uncomfortable ride.
All suggestions welcomed! Thanks!

I too wanted a little more sound without the hassle of extra throttle components. I wrote vance and hines and sampson and both agreed that with the stock air cleaner and either of their systems, the 2010 Wide Glide would be just fine without any other modification. I chose the Vance and Hines Straightshots. After the first day I said "WHEW" these sure are loud and ordered the quiet baffles. They did the trick. Funny though, yesterday after having the quiet baffles on for @3 months, I went back to the original baffles for a little more ooomph!! Especially after going on a LARGE(300+) bike ride this past weekend. My V&H pipes kinda got lost in all the LOUD pipes around me.

Question: When you say you had the bike re-mapped; did you go to the local H-D shop and remap the factory module or did you go elsewhere(where) and/or get some sort of mod-module?
