I have a 2008 Heritage with Xied's stock mufflers with the baffles knocked out and HD Stage 1 A/C and runs much better then stock. Probably could be better but more performance = more $

Short answer is yes. You'll see a significant difference.

Did your gas mileage change after you installed the xied's?

Im not to sure if its changed anything noticeable. my low fuel light just came on around 125 miles since i filled up. Its usually 150, depending on how much I put in the tank. Ill try to get a good reading on MPG this week when I write down the amount of fuel I put in the tank this time.

A couple of bucks at fill up time is a very small price to pay for a cooler running engine and the entire engine/drive train longevity that will follow.

Heat is the enemy. Fight it whenever and wherever you can.

very true. I have no complaints if my MPG drops a tad. Power, reliability, and mpg cant all be achieved at once lol.

I just ordered a set of vance and hines 3" slip ons. I hope the bike sounds better than the stock "harley rumble".
