Do it right....3x options
*Change your baffles to ones that have a bit more "bark"....this keeps it sounding nice, not like crap. BCT baffles, or American Customs baffles
*Or get some aftermarket "slip on" replacement mufflers
*Go all out and full replacement pipes

Usually, yes....it's just an upgraded rear half of the exhaust...baffles are in there.

Are you sure about that, jamman? I can't find anything in the HD literature about cats in Dynas. The touring bikes have a huge cat at the juncture of their head pipes, which effectively mutes the volume of the exhaust note. That's why so many bagger owners opt for new head pipes without the cat.

That being said, I'm picking up my FLD this week (finally!). I added the Screamin Eagle Nightstick muffler. I plan on changing the end cap to an open one, and deleting 10 of the discs (it's a Supertrapp muffler). Hoping that will provide a more robust exhaust note without being obnoxiously loud. We'll see.

i saved these and the aircleaner off my bob when i traded it in , i may have to resort to making these work.. as i can tell if change to forwards, it'll all work back out.. this was my 06 40k on the ticker 5 back tires , 3 front, one set of brakes front and rear, a crank postion sensor..
