[QUOTE=Ron750;8927817][QUOTE=66cruiser;8927750]Yea, Right!
Lots of restrictions are strictly enforced and make Singaporean bikers long for biking "American Style." ...
They are not able to make any modifications to their bikes other than bolt on accessories and many of those are "illegal." No choppers are allowed on the island period - custom non-production manufactured are not allowed. Of course, no loud pipes are allowed and helmets are required. ..
The island is only about 10 miles wide and 22 miles long. This doesn't afford riders lots of long-ride opportunities...While it may be a photographers delight, it is not a bikers dreamland.
I lived there for 3 years. You can modify your bike, but come inspection time in 3 years and every year thereafter, had to remove everything and go in stock. Unless you knew someone at the LTA Just drop the bike at the indie +$100 and viola, inspection complete the next day.

Riding in Singers is boring, but cross the bridge into Malaysia and you can ride all the way up through Thailand into Myramar (Burma) to Vietnam if you wanted to. Some of the most scenic rides anyway. Always hot & rainy, cheap beer and awesome food, not to mention the girls. Do visit and rent a bike if you ever have the chance.

Now am in the Philippines. Girls are still cute and friendly, beer even cheaper ($1 at the bar, less at the store), but rides are tough given traffic, bad roads and bad drivers.

Nice! USAF retired here. Been to Singapore on numerous occasions. If ever win the lottery, would consider having a home there. (sorry for the thread hijack, but, DonN, would appreciate info on living in the PI. Married to a Filipina, 25 years, and thinking about moving there. ronrincon@sbcglobal.net. Thanks)

I was there for as few days last year and really loved the island, made a visit to the "stealership" and holy ****!!! Prices were way out of whack high and there were only about 5 bikes in the whole place. On the positive side my stay at the Hilton on orchid ave was one of my best hotel choices ever!

Wow....very nice! If I had to pick only one to ride for about an hour, it would be Marilyn. I mean, Fredrik Lönnquist's 2004 Night Train Custom.

Interesting to hear these comments. Anyway, here is also another Harley specialized company (not dealer), just google Big Loud Rides Singapore. Specialised for Harley Touring around South-East Asia. And location is really near to Hilton Orchard.

I am Europen who is riding and living in this area. Actually you can also find nice roads in Singapore, but better road are waiting in Malaysia! True.
Have a look the video which I filmed few weeks ago in Malaysia. There is also Mr Will Barcley, double Hoka Hey Challenge winner (black leather jacket).
