Andrews TW48H cams installed
Well after reading about all the bad lifters I decided to change my lifter. Talked to a racing buddy at Comp Cams and he got a set of made in the USA lifters for me. Got the SE adjustable pushrods and gaskets. When I got it apart I found a bad lifter. I then pulled the cams and one lobe was marked. I started looking and found a set of Andrews TW48H cams from a form member. I had the V&H Fuel Pack so called them about a map. They gave me a new map for my new set up. Changed cam bearings and put the new cams in. The bike ran good with the Fuel Pack but would not idle. Called Fuel Moto and ordered a Power Commander. With the cams and PC the engine is a lot smother. I can go to 6th at 55 to 58 mph and it will pull to as fast as I want to go. The engine has a lot more low end torque. At speed the engine feels like it is running freer. The bike is a lot faster and as I said a lot smother through the gears. The sound at idle changed just a little and has a slight note to it. I plan on a 200 mile run next week to see how it dose. Then meet my brother to ride in N.W. Arkansas for a weekend. That will be a 500 to 600 mile weekend. So far I like the cams and PC.
