I know the guy that did mine either sanded or polished mine. I remember him saying he was going to sand. After Powder, mine are smooth.

The shop doing your powder will media blast the wheels first. They strip whatever part they are powdering of any coating (paint, clear coat, chrome, other plating, etc.) befor applying powder.

low rider rims have a smoother finish on the non polished areas than the fxd rims do as they are partially powder coated from the moco... replaced my fxd rims with low rider rims i bought from a forum member,,

my wife wants spoke wheels on her superglide instead of those stock mags. do you have spoke dyna wheels already?
are they in good shape? interested in a trade? hers have about 2000 miles on em and her bike is a 2006

I sure am interested ! and yes the wheels I have are in great shape ! only problem is I dont know if I can handle the down time. Message me your email and we can talk !

I have to find out how much powder coat will run me .... and see if I can afford it ! right now ... just may have to reach out to powder coat joe !
