Hey MXwewithaBob. I have a 2011 street bob and am in love with that old school tank emblem. But apparently they are intended for only the Fat Bobs. Did you have any difficulties with the adapter plate? I'm going for a very similar look, and was very disappointed to hear that it might not work on my tank.

It will work just fine on your tank. Just because the parts catalog lists it as for the FB, doesn't mean it won't work on any Dyna tank.
