Default Looking for vintage Harley springer

I have a 2011 FXDWG and I'm Looking for vintage Harley springer (1940/50's the days of no Shock attached) to replace the WG front end. Not sure how many inches over stock lenght I need to go to keep my existing rim tire or go bigger in wheel diameter 21/24" ???

Any ideas?

No, I want a vintage Harley springer (1940/50's the days of no Shock attached) because they have a special design That I'm looking for. The old I-Beam style with Dogbones risers.

Harley never made, to my knowledge, an I-beam style springer. That's a new aftermarket design. Good luck finding an OEM springer. Repop springers are available from www.45partsdepot.com

FYI, to my knowledge, HD discontinued the use of production springers in '49 with the advent of the telescopic fork ala the Hydra Glide.

Yes. Paughco makes a top clamp that goes on their Springers that utilize the old dog bone risers you posted in your picture. I believe that clamp works on DNA as well as a couple other aftermarket Springers. Then you would just need some real wide bars as that setup sets the risers very far apart. Very cool look. Also, the old factory Springers had different steering stems. I don't believe they bolt up to a late model Dyna neck. Yeah, anything can be made to fit but you would have to spend either a lot of time cutting up a super rare factory part, or paying a shop to do the same when you can get brand new after market Springer that looks very similar. Please take a look at the Paughco catalog. You'll see the risers and top clamp.
