Question Which Clutch And Points Covers?

On a previous bike I had Extreme Custom Engraving brass Celtic knotwork clutch and points covers; like this:

I’m now thinking of getting a clutch cover and points cover for my Street Bob; should I get some the same, or these wrinkle black ones instead:

That ‘Celtic Cross’ clutch cover is only available in the ‘raised style’ with black background. I reckon that the wrinkle black will go really well with my wrinkle blank engine cases.

What do you all think?

Here’s the bike they’re going on:

I voted... I like the rune idea.. its original...
I have never on any of my HDs.. ran "out of the catalogue" covers on anything.. I either left them stock or installed a simple non specific smooth cover... Im not knocking anyone else who does buy their gee gaws from the book mind you.. there is some pretty cool looking stuff available.. .. but an HD is a "personal statement of taste" and for me originality is key.. On my next HD I will have to go looking for that "set" of covers that provide a certain sense of symetry and which will be for me..

those are some sweet covers. some of the nicest i have seen. black for sure. BTW the new ember red is bad ***. Wish I could afford some new sheet metal. Not sure if the 2012 metal would work on a 2011. Really like your bike and the direction your going with it.

Hey, thanks. Yes, I'm pretty sure the '11 and '12 tins are exactly the same.

The Gaelic side of my lineage says the Cross with triquetra knots and point cover matches better than the old style you had. Brass and Copper accents will look good with what you have going, it will give the bike a definite bold look.

I just wonder why you need approval? Pick what you like. JMO I spent 4 years in the UK. Loved the country. Get a cool pub sign engraved.

I'd go with the black.
