I think the term is overused and done to death. The bikes from the early days didn't look like most the bikes that claim to be "old school" these days.
ok, i have a question, 1st, I'm not trying to start some argument about styles, But the term "old School". Does it have a different definition today? cause i don't think old school means the same thing now..
Hmm, it could mean a school thats really old. Or it could mean a school for old people. Im not really sure which, but Im pretty sure it is one of those things.
For now on instead of old school let's use the phrase "vintage"
I myself would like to make my bob look "vintage" so I will be keeping most of my chrome and Polished aluminum.. I agree the PC has gotten a bit out of hand for a "vintage" look
I don't think there's anyone here that would say there's anything 'old school' about blacked out bikes......There's nothing new about it either. Long before the Street Bob there was the Sturgis.
One thing you might want to consider... What's old school to a 30 year old guy, and what's old school to a 65 year old guy are probably going to be a lot different.
