Putting together a tool kit...what would you put in it?
I want to have a tool kit but I also want good tools in it. I looked at Harley's tool kits and would rather spend the $$$ on better tools for on the road. The wife is going to sew me up a nice tool roll.....once I get the tools together.
I figured good Torx sockets
small ratchet and extensions
8 in 1 screw driver
either an adjustable wrench maybe that and a axle wrench from Harley
spark plug socket
Needle nose pliers
small channel locks or vise grip
a few open end and box end wrenches in the sizes needed
allen keys with ball ends in the sizes needed
small tube of loc tite and grease
electrical tape
a rag or two
Thats my list for now...what else would you put together?

2nd the zip ties.
some additional electric wire. can be used for any variety of things
duct tape. just unroll a bunch and create you new smaller roll
some velcro strips.
a guy at the dealer who does the dyna tune and rides a lot says he don't bring no tools cause most stuff you can't fix yourself and the stuff you can you really don't need all those tools.
so i might suggest just think what you would tackle on the side of the road and what you would call transport to bring you to the nearest dealer. that might just narrow down a whole lot what tools you might need.
