How is the Street Bob for Riding 2 Up?
I have a 1200 Sportster and really love it but I can't ride two up with my wife very well because it is small and bottoms out. We're not small people (I'm around 215 and the wife is about 180) so I was wondering if the Street Bob would be up to the task considering that it sits a bit lower than a standard Dyna. Any trouble bottoming out? Cramped?
Thanks,
Barry

Can let you know in a few days, I just ordered a seat for that very reason. My wife and I are very close in size so should be a valid comarison. I've rode her on mine sons Sportster custom and we do feel cramped. We didn't bottom out but my son has the pre loads set firm.

No problem here and youre a lightweight compared to me. I bought my Dyna because it handles great with just me and is great two up.. plenty of room, plenty of power and rarely bottoms out. If you feel you need to you can add progressive shocks, better ride and handling anyways.

I added the pillion and I've probab;y had 40 or 50 women on there with me all different shapes and sizes ( someof them were real fatties LOL) and other then complaints of vibration and that the suspension bottoms a little hard no major issues the bike easily hauls 2 ppl at 100 mph+ and yes even with a fat girl lol

No complaints from wifey here. She's only about 130lbs., but as mentioned you can adjust the shocks to fit. My only recomendation would be to invest in a Sundowner seat. I originally bought the pillion seat and it stayed on the bike for one 15 minute ride. The wife said it was like sitting on a rattling rock. I guess some women might like that though...
