Metz's on Smooth Rims
I'm in the market for new tires for my 06 FXDC and want to try Metzler 170/60r17m/c reinftl 78v on the rear and the 110/90-19 on the front.
I have a few questions.
Has anybody mounted these tires on the factory smooth spoked rims?
I've searched a ton of threads a got a lot of good info, but none mentioned if they would mount on the smooth rims.
Do indy's typically give you are hard time if you purchase tires on-line and have them mount them?
Thanks

When I look at my rims, the don't look as strong as the steel laced wheels and some have said that it took a little extra muscle to install. I might just worrying for nothing.
From the threads that I found I have some good info where to start looking for price camparisons.
Idodgimus, you have the steel laced wheels

Never had any balancing issues. You can put stick-on weights on the rim but they look like chit, or small clip-on weights that attach to the spokes. They are round chrome and don't look that bad. I've also seen little skulls that look cool as well. You can also run dyna beads, lotsa guys swear by em.
