Installed Progressive Shocks & New Tree/Risers in '11 Street Bob
Hey everyone, just thought I would share with you a couple mods and contribute a little to the forum.
1) Ditched the factory triple tree and integrated risers setup. This was fine when using the stock mini apes, but when I switched to the 12" RSD Vintage bars, I got intolerable vibrations 90% of the time. Switched to the Loner Industries new Triple Tree, Arlen Ness Gooden Tite poly riser bushings, RSD 3" Moto Risers, and all is well again and the bars are even at a better angle/height. Vibrations reduced 70% !! The Loner Industries triple tree is a fine piece, but know that the brake mounting bolt is on the left side, not the right, so I had to zip tie my brake line to the neck wiring which looks fine anyway
2) Switched from stock suspension that was harsh to new Progressive 430 12" rear shocks. Wow.. what a difference.. only using the first setting and its a MASSIVE improvement over stock. No bottoming out, places that would send a jolt up by back are now plush (but perfectly firm).. should have came with these stock! Before you ask, no, I don't want to lower an already low bike.. I like a nice ride and I got it with the 12" PS 430's!

Like my Dad always says when someone asks him how he's doing... his reply is always "Cant complain, no one will listen" haha
I took the beast for a spin today, got the preload perfected... and man this thing is SO much better riding then stock. If any of you guys have contemplated swapping your factory suspension like I did, just fork the bucks over and make the change.
If the bike rode like this from the Factory, HD would make a new model name after it and charge $2,000 more I promise you.
