Default 2007 Dyna Street Bob Ape Hanger questions.

I am wanting to change the look of my 2007 FXDB and because I am a fairly big guy at 6'3" I have enjoyed the feel of ape hangers on other friends of friends bike, just not sure what height I want to go, and what will look good. I was thinking around 20" I know this will mean a full out cable kit and I am ok with the cost of that. Here is a picture of my bike, and a picture of what I am wanting it to look like, not sure of the rise in the picture???

Might be 18's on stock risers. Got up to your local shop and feel the different sizes on dyna available.. I'm 6'2 and running 16's and they feel and look perfect

I agree, 16's are great. 18's are a bit high on a dyna, and 20's are just crazy. jmo tho...
maybe see if ur local dealer has a dyna with apes and go check it out...

Thanks guys I was at a dealer on Thursday held up a pair of 18" and they fit perfect, the 16" were a little low for my liking. I've got a 18" narrow, pre wired kit coming from Hill Country Custom Cycles.

Had 16's on mine. Loved the look, loved the looks I got. Was great for around town. HOWEVER, after riding from coast to coast for bike week the "look" quickly wore off. Maybe cause no windshield, but I could not just get comfortable. Well, had a low speed get off last week and am switching bars. Will be selling the clutch n brake cables cheap. They are braided, plastic shielded type. Should work with 18's. Let me know.
