2012 Switchback floorboard details (p/n's included) compared with FXDP set up
Was at the dealer's yesterday and took some shots from the 2012 Switchback floorboard set-up:
2012 Switchback left hand side shifter set-up:
2012 Switchback left hand side front mounting bracket with shifter (1):
2012 Switchback left hand side front mounting bracket with shifter (2):
2012 Switchback left hand side rear mounting bracket:
FXDP l/h side overview:
FXDP l/h side shifter rod:
2012 Switchback right hand side front mounting bracket with brake rod:
Right hand side front mounting bracket with brake pedal:
2012 Switchback right hand side rear mounting bracket:
FXDP r/h side brake-rod:
FXDP r/h side overview:
2012 Switchback lower triple tree with stop:
My conclusions:
2012 Switchback left hand side shifter set-up:
2012 Switchback left hand side front mounting bracket with shifter (1):
2012 Switchback left hand side front mounting bracket with shifter (2):
2012 Switchback left hand side rear mounting bracket:
FXDP l/h side overview:
FXDP l/h side shifter rod:
2012 Switchback right hand side front mounting bracket with brake rod:
Right hand side front mounting bracket with brake pedal:
2012 Switchback right hand side rear mounting bracket:
FXDP r/h side brake-rod:
FXDP r/h side overview:
2012 Switchback lower triple tree with stop:
My conclusions:
- Compared to FXDP floorboard set-up 2012 Switchback floorboard set-up is ~2,5 inch up front;
- floorboards used are so called "narrow" mounting (like used at Softail and Touring models);
- all mounting brackets are different but use the same mounting point at the frame;
- r/h rear mounting bracket now runs under the exhaust pipe instead of over it;
- brake rod is S-shaped (straight at FXDP set-up)
- brake pedal is different
- shifter pedal and rod are different and look like fwd ctrl set-up (at this stadium I'm not sure about measurements though; have to look into tyhat at another occasion)
- it looks like the triple trees will fit older models as well

Some additional info from another thread:
Here's a link to the 2006 and up forward control kit (49080-06A). Scroll to page 4 to find some p/n's...
Floorboard p/n is 50621-06 (single item):
Got some info on the FLD floorboards:
forward left bracket p/n 54173-12
forward right bracket p/n 54165-12
rear left bracket p/n 54174-12
rear right bracket p/n 54172-12

Floorboards are softail
All shift side controls are 2006+ forward controls hardware
Brake pedal doesn't have a part # yet
No prices yet but a H-D Australia dealer show brackets are $66 each Aussie.

Now I will have to pay another visit to the dealer's and take some more pics from the hardbag set-up. Gonna ask if they already have the p/n's available and post them later on.
Cheers

The bags are reslly interesting for me as well. its them or the cycle visions baggertail for Dyna setup. Have to see which will be the cheapest option

Was at the dealer's today and made some images on how the bags are fitted. It's a three point fix: 2 at the struts and 1 at the fender:

awesome Rene! Looks like they have used the detachable sissy bar docking HW with some new bag mounted hardware. is that correct?
is it just me or are the Switchback bags smaller than the standard FL bags? they appear to be shorter in length.

I think the bags are a little smaller (shorter from front to rear) than the Touring bags ... the lower mounting hardware on the bag is a really sturdy little piece ....
Also note, the fender has an integral steel support member inside between the lower rear docking hardware to take the additional stress on the fender from the bags ....
Great photos, Rene ... thanks for posting ....
