Default Clutch adjustment.....how?

Going by the SM: "tighten jam-nut to 72-120 in-lbs while holding adjustment screw with Allen wrench"

None of the 3 torque wrenches I own have a hole down the middle to use for an Allen wrench, so any advice?

I just use an offset box/closed end wrench and give it a good whack with the ball of my hand, haven't had an issue yet.

I took a deep dish socket ( I think 11/16 ) and milled a 3/4 square on the drive end.. Stick a T handle hex key thru the socket to hold the adjusting set screw and torque the socket with a crows foot

Yeah, this is one of those situations where I don't go exactly "by the book." I hold the adj nut with an allen socket, and use a std box wrench to tighten the jam nut by "feel" (max torque for the jam nut is the same as the nuts on the exh studs for reference). Works for me.

As said above I tighten it by feel not by specs, truely not that worried about it to be dead on like I would be with axle nuts or something major like that.

I use a Craftsman dog bone wrench from Sears and guesstimate torque. Tighten the jam nut good and snug and your all set to go.

Thank you for all the great advice/info.....well, except for #3. I'll give the box-end a smart tap with a rubber hammer and button the cover back on. 10 ft-lbs ain't much.

I appreciate the help, thanks.
