The 2012 Dyna Switchback Overview
#41
Am a long time rider (40+ years), frequent visitor to the touring section of this forum, and also a new Dyna owner. Just added a red Switchback to my garage about 300 miles ago - the deal included a dealer installed SE Ventilator, SE "Nightstick", and the required download. I have to hand it to the Motor Company on this one...they did their homework. This is the first motorcycle that I have ever owned (ever!) where I haven't felt the need to immediately change something with the suspension or ride height or seat before being happy with the set-up. The bike handles great and runs great. The only "wish" I have is that the motor mounts in this Dyna controlled the shakes as well as the mounts do in the Electraglides. Very satisfied with this motorcycle - it feels just like a motorcycle should!

I have ridden all HD types. My second new Harley is a 2011 FXDC, Dyna SuperGlide Custom. But I still wanted some cruising comfort and storage capacity so I did some bolt-ons: Fairing with stereo and amp for MP3 or iPod, with 2 different height windshields, hard bags, trunk, highway bar, pegs, front fender.
I now have a very able cruiser, yet also lightweight, sporty and manageable.
I'd like to add lighting up front and running lights at rear for greater visibility.
