Default headlight and compact quick release windshield

I just installed the compact quick release windshield part number 58346-06
on my 2011 Super Glide. The headlight does not protrude from the cut out of the windshield. The windshield is flush with the headlight. Is this right? Does seem right. The photos on the moco page show the headlight out beyond the windshield.

Thanks.

thats how mine is on my 08.

when i run the brights it tends to light up the windshield like a neon sign, pretty distracting, otherwise i never notice. would be super simple fab to angle the headlight mounting block to fix this problem.

Ok... I have the same issue. I wanted to make sure this windshield was correct as it sure didn't seem right to have the headlight flush... and it's ugly. My options are to extend the headlight or sell the windshield and replace with something else.

Had the same problem, installed Headlamp visor #69735-05 took care of it. Also 2" tank lift to solve speedo glare, and turn signal kit to solve that glare, now all good. Just installed LED headlight, GREAT to ride at night now!

+1 on that. All of the H-D shields have that same issue.

Yeah lots of glare to take care of. Think I'll do the same... well except for the LED headlight since I've spent enough lately...

The handle bar mounted turn signal/driving lamps cause the most glare and need to be relocated. The speedo glare can be eliminated by slightly adjusting the angle of the wind shield. Head light glare is down low and not as annoying. A visor or LED projector lamps would eliminate all glare.
