Hey guys...I'm getting ready to relocate my signals on my 08 Dyna SG...most likely with the Easy Brackets complete laydown license plate/turn signal relocate kit...

Will I need to get the bike on a lift to drop the rear wheel to access the nuts/bolts?

And what kind of nuts are holding the stock turn signal posts inside the fender?

The video on the easy brackets website doesnt show the actual removal of the stock signal posts, but does have the bike lifted with the rear wheel dropping down...is having the bike lifted an absolute or does it just make it easier?

Don't have to have a lift, but easier and more secure with one. You can just remove the lower shock mounting bolts and jack it up until you have enough clearance to work under there. I did that the first time, but the second time I went ahead and pulled the rear wheel, much more room to work and much easier. Just doing the t/s you should be alright with just dropping the wheel a bit.

Here's another option for relocating t/s. Made by RWD, got mine on Ebay but I know they were available from Cyclevisions. Easy install, hardest part is cutting down you license plate (and that is a piece of cake with a die grinder, that I didn't have the first time around). If you are getting a new fender (or re-painting your old) you can get a weld in version that sits pretty flush, or you can just get the one that bolts on. Signal lights are built into the brake/running light and are basically amber arrows. I hooked mine up so the brake light flashes for 3 secs before staying on, but you can hook it up to run standard. Big upgrade over stock as far as brightness. The only problem (if you can even bother to call it that) I have found is that when I arm the security system, only the front signals blink. Anyway, just one of a million options out there.

Does anyone know about putting a streetglide rear turn signal bar under the dyna taillight? I can't find a link. but saw a picture on an earlier thread.

I just put the moco turn signal relocation kit on my 08 SG, don't need to drop the wheel. However removing the taillight assembly made wiring much much easier.
