You got a good deal, brother. Just go out and look at prices of used Street Bobs on ebay, craigslist, cycletrader and they are close to 11k for most 09 or 10s

I would only make sure the initial service is completed. At 1,000 miles you should change to synthetic oil since engine break-in period is over. Good deal though because I paid $13,574 from dealer with same paint. However, I added lots of stuff to it as well.

Even at MSRP you won't pay 16k for a 2012 Street Bob unless you add on a bunch of stuff, have a hellacious local tax, tag and title fee. His bike is stock. You can talk the dealer out of a lot of things this time of year with 11s sitting on the floor unsold and the 12s sitting on the rig in the parking lot getting unloaded.

He isn't even adding back the tax he will pay at the tag office when he rolls in with his title.

Dealers waive set up fees and delivery on many, many deals. The financing at HD sucks unless you can walk in like I did, with financing from the local credit union and tell HD to match it or lose a sale. I did just that in June.

I'm not arguing that your price is good bro, I'm arguing that a new, stock Street Bob would cost someone 16k.

The 2012 Street Bob in denim lists for about $13,400, no price increase over the 2011's. If a dealer wants to sell a 2011 he will have to discount it enough to convince someone to buy a leftover that's a year old and already depreciated. Yes, you will have to add freight and set up, but these can be negotiated. Plus, whatever you buy there will be taxes, tags and title costs.

I think you made a heck of a deal! Here in OK, the local dealer had 2 black denim SB's priced in the high 15k range due to a few accessories and no discounts due to the popularity of the bike. I think FL adds a hefty state tax to the price you pay to the dealer. Saving 5k sounds reasonable to me. Well done!

Thats a good deal. I went to the dealer yesterday and they wanted 10500 for my 2011 superglide with 2500miles. I just wanted to see how much my bike was worth after a few months of ownership Definately good deal. I think what most people forget is the tax. Since no one likes to talk about the "TOTAL" price include tax, title, and license. A lot of people here use the purchase price instead of the total.

Terror,

Did you end up buying this bike for your negotiate price of $11K? Just wondering if you did or did not and if you found issues with this bike.
