Drag bar on a FXDWG, how low risers can you use?
Hi,
Planning to switch to a drag bar on my -11 FXDWG. Did anyone look into which are the lowest risers you can use with tank clearance?
Can you use a 3" riser at all? Can you use a 4½" riser without relocating the turn signals from the handlebars?
Please recommend me some risers! I wan't them black and fat (1-1/4") but can't really find some I like. Wild1 Chubbys are nice but I don't really like their top clamp look.
Roland Sands got some nice risers but they are made for 1" and since they have a separate top clamp for each riser I am afraid it will look weird with the middle part of the drag bar looking "thinner" (but it could be good looking as well).

I just installed the 2" riser spacers on my bike from Spacer Jim. Since I've done that, I'm considering drag bars. I like the stock risers, they just weren't quite tall enough with my tank lift. Now I have plenty of clearance lock-to-lock, even enough to install drag bars without issues.

May not be what you're looking for, but I like 'em a lot. I used 5" Grade 8 bolts with mine.
