It's ok to run in newer engines yeah, it shrinks rubber gaskets if they're not made for it (older engines) . I deliver gas for a living. In the 8 years before eth I changed gaskets on my trailer once, since eth I change them 2 or 3 times a year cause they shrink and won't stay in the recess that holds them in the drop heads. Eth also attracts moisture like crazy! In the underground tanks at the stations the water sinks to the bottom in straight gas, it will mix with eth gas. with straight gas the tanks are allowed 5" of water in the bottom, with eth they're allowed none. We put a water detecting paste that changes color with water, on the stick and stick the tanks before dropping. Notice the new sta bil fuel treatment for marine use. Helps deal with the moisture attracting of ethanol gas in a water environment. Sure the eth will reduce freezing but can cause it to attract water that wouldn't have been there to start with.....

I run Stabil in the bike. I have no choice in Gas, They all have ethanol in it. But by running stabil its suppose take care of the ethanol. I run 87, 89,93 octanes, With stabil I notice no difference in performance. Hard to tell about the milage. I put Stabil in every tank.
+1 on the Sta Bil. I use the blue stuff, marine formula, and I use non-ethanol gas most of the time.
