Default 99 dyna - rear blinkers don't blink

Posted this on my previous thread but thought I would overdo it. Just rigged up what I think is a pretty cool little bracket mount for these new rear signals. Hooked them up with one wire using the mount as a ground. At first they worked great, now they don't blink, just come on, both front and rear. What the????

Here's a few pics. I made the bracket by hand, painted it up a bit, drilled a few holes for bolts and wires to go through and made it happen.

Have you checked your blinker fluid?

Or maybe the flasher died.

Hey man, I know all about blinker fluid and believe me when I tell you that all the fluids on my bike are twice as full as they should be. So is it a simple flasher issue? If so, is the flasher in the little box under the left side of the seat? Or is it a load equalizer thing? The dude at the shop I bought the signals from said I need a load equalizer because they're a smaller bulb, which I don't really believe. He's a good dude, but mildly fried. It's a small automotive twist in bulb so I don't really see why it would need an equalizer like an led system. Either way, I have an issue. If it's just a flasher, I'm golden, just need to find it....lol. If it's something else??? ****, then I still need a service manual.

Are they LED? Whereas the ones you took off weren't? If so, then you do probably need what that mech was talking about. LEDs can be very finicky. I haven't looked for a flasher on bikes in a while. Usually, they are plugged into a fuse box.

And your front ones don't blink either? Do they come on as running lights?

yep front ones come on as running lights, but act the same as the rear for flashing. Now they might flash once or twice but then just stay on. I don't hear a mechanical flasher sound anywhere so they must be a different type of flasher....yes?

I don't know on the sound part. I'm partially deaf. LOL So the front ones light up, and only blink some times. Do the rear ones light up? Have you had a chance to put a meter to them and check for voltage?

No I don't think they're supposed to in the back. Just blink. They're getting 12 volts. They were all working fine at first. Then they started to stay on, then blink again, now they pretty much just stay on.
