New REAR fender on a Fat Bob

The FLD fender should bolt right on, however, you didn't mention your bike year! If It's older than '06 you are out of luck.

From what the service manager at the shop said (apparently he was involved in testing this model at the proving grounds) the SWB is wider than a FXDB but narrower than a Fat Bob. However I'm reading in another thread that someone measured it at just under 8" which would make it narrower than a FXDB but I don't see how either of these scenarios would be true because it has the same size rear wheel and tire so it stands to reason that it will work. Unless I find otherwise I plan on trying it.

Back when I was messin' around with my back fender I had a SE Fatboy fender on hand... the width was right but the radius was off and the bigest deturant was the fit between the frame tubes under the seat, in front of the wheel and FBSE fender.
It just wouldn't work.
The fender I ended up with cost me more than $400 w/o paint.

I agree that you can not go by the part numbers.

I thought about the switchback fender too and went to the dealer yesterday and measured the fender width and it was too narrow. Fatbob is 9" and it was 8". But I believe the bags would bolt up. The mounting hardware measured 10.5 " center to center which is the same as the fatbob. I have FLH bags and think I might buy the switchback mounting hardware for the bike and the bags if the price is right. They will not the the new parts list until next week. I think these mounts will pull the bags in closer to the bikes compared to using the ghost brackets.
