So what point between the struts - fore and aft I mean? Just trying to get an idea where you checked so I could check my superglide in comparison

It was towards the rear strut bolt. Couldn't really measure the front to good because of the seat in the way but it is probably the same. I should have wrote down the exact measurement but when I saw it wasn't close to 9" I started looking at the bag mounting system.

The only thing I can yell you is that the Seitchback, the Street Bob and the Super Glide Custom all use a 160/70-17..... How ever the Switch says it's a 160/70B17....anyone know what the "B" means. Anyways this tells mee that the fenders should all be the same width and should work on all 3 models.

Just means it is a bias belted tire - dimensions are the same.

You are right, just got home and read the OP's post again, that's what I get for reading on my smartphone's tiny screen.

That's the same as my FXD. The measurement needs to be taken on the fender at the same area as the strut mounting holes. I know this measurement well. I had to narrow a soft tail fender from 8.5" to 8.25" to get it to match my stock one. The fenders can flare out a bit beneath this area, but the 8.25" width is needed between the struts.
