I just bought a Boom Audio tank pouch from HD. It is a case that will hold my Iphone and uses magnets to mount to the tank. I haven't used it yet and still looking for other options. This is relatively cheap ($40) but wanted to know what you use if anything.

I've tried - through that plastic in the pouch, my iPhone is hard to use. Also, at least for me, the iPhone is too darn slow (thanks AT&T) to use for navigation. I mostly use it to listen to tunes. I am going to try and squeeze my TomTom GPS unit in there.

I use the Navigon application on my Iphone. it was not cheap, somethign around 100 bucks, but it is pretty good. It will work through my jacket pocket and give audio directions through my headphones. If I really need to see a moving map, I stick it in the plastic map case on top of my tank bag.

It kills the battery though. But it isn't so bad if I turn the screen on and just listen to the audio directions.

GPSCity.com sells products to mount iPhone's to handlebars.
example 1
example 2
...etc

I bought my RAM mount from them. Shipping was fast, prices are pretty good.

I tried the pouch and it's not very well-suited for GPS use. I caught the Tom-Tom GPS app on sale for $39 and am VERY pleased with it!

You guys trust those plastic holders? i'm not sure I'm comfortable with that. But I never tried one. You don't feel like your phone is going to get bounced out of there?
