Default Leaking Primary - Now You See It, Now You Don't

Is it completely unheard of to have a leak slow or stop on its own? (insert: "Yeah...after all the fluid leaks out!" )

Seriously though, I had a pretty heavy primary leak near the drain plug that continued for a week after replacing the o-ring and cover gasket. It gradually dissipated over the next week to barely a drip and this is after making sure it's always topped off.

There's still a slight one, but, not enough to make me replace the primary gasket just yet.

Have any of you had this happen?

Expansion/contraction from riding/resting/riding/resting...things can settle and seat themselves a bit better.
