Yes...a 4" speedo/tach combo this year.

I bet it has something to do with the fact that they changed the switches this year. You toggle the trip meter with the horn button now like the 2011 Heritage has. So the plug might be different on the 2012 bikes. If that's the case you might be able to make it work with a few changes.
I'll hold out and let someone else try it....don't want to make a $200+ mistake that wont work.

When I ask the dealer about one they told me that this one is the only one so far that fits. It's not bad looking but I wish it had the gear position on it.

Here's a thought... if the Dakota Digital is a direct plug-in replacement (according to their website) for 2004-2011 Dyna's and Sportsters, and this (much better looking) unit is listed to work with '12 FXDB and FXDWG, '11-later FXCWC and FXS models equipped with 4" speedometer... what are the chances the plug-in sockets are the same, and will work regardless? You may not get the "gear position" or "fuel level indication", but then again you might...

This is the exact reason it will not work.....ALL of the new models, with the exception of the Sportsters (I believe) have all new ECM/BCM and CAN/LAN cabling...the main wiring harness is based more on a computer network rather than standard wiring...the main harness the ECM the handlebar controls and all associated hardware are of a new design....I do not believe there will be a way to retrofit anything to the older systems since the technology is quite different.
