I actually really like that. And since I have the same rigid rack, it would be easy to copy the mounting design. Though, I would go a different route with the actual sissy bar.

Yes, the front of the detach side rails have a "u" shape that slides over front detach post. The back then slide down over rear post and a latch holds the side rails and sissy bar in place.
