Default Dealer or DIY?

Brand new 2011 FXDWG (630miles in 1.5 months). I want to do V&H Big Radius 2in2, and Screaming Eagle Stage 1 Air. I know tuning needs to be done after this, but does the V&H fuelpack do the same as dealer tune? Will doing DIY void my warrany for these things? I don't really want to pay the dealer in the 4 figure range to put on parts I could do on my own, but there is no way I'm gonna void that extended warranty. HELP!

You would have to ask you dealer about the warranty void they all sort of have their own rules on what does and does not void your warranty with performance upgrades. As far as the install doing it yourself would save you approx. 400.00 in labor. A dealer tune on a dyno with something like the screaming eagle super tuner would be better for performance than just something like the fuel pack but the fuel pack or power commander with just a standard map is going to be the cheaper option so it depends on what you want and what could void your warranty. Good luck, btw I have the 2into2 pipes, a/c and dealer dyno tune with the screaming eagle pro super tuner I spoke about above and could not be happier.

no, it won't void your warranty. I would definatly have it tuned by them when done though. If you leave it in a bad tune condition, well that would void warranty if something goes wrong
