Default My Wde Glide

Me and my wide glide have been together for 1 1/2 summers so far, and I'm in dire need of a 3rd set of tires. Oh the agony of all them miles.

But I guess I cannot complain, I have had zero problems, and it has saved me a bundle of cash in gas, as well as dished out loads and loads of fun.

I agree, wearing out rubber is a lot more fun than wearing out metal parts.

I just put the Pirelli Night Dragons on my Wide Glide. Absolutely love them.

how many miles? I got 15k out of my stock rubber. Just went to a 18x5.5 with a 180 metz and so far it is well worth it.

I love those on my wide glide. Price is right and they last and handle well.

15k outta stock rubber? You'll get 30k out of a Metzler then. You must be real easy on the throttle. I got 5600 miles out of my stock rear. Put a Pirelli night dragon on and got 6k on it now with plenty to go. Of course I ride it like I stole it though.

Well, went back through my little book of records and receipts and it looks like I'm getting 10,500 on the Dunlops, I could probably get another 2k out of them but I had a front flat at 70 on the highway last summer and spooked me pretty good, so I am a little shy about pushing my luck.
I figure it just a matter of time for all the tire makers to start making the stock size, I'll wait and go Metzlers next time, although I wanted them this time pretty bad.
I'd ride it pretty hard, but I don't hot dog it a lot. I'm really happy with the bike, it's really been good to me.
